NSW Food Regulation 2025 131: Seafood licensees have analysed at their own cost the seafood and shellfish samples, growing and harvest environment samples, and process, wet storage and depuration water samples the two Manuals require

What does 131 require?

A licensed seafood business must, at its own cost, have tested: seafood the NSW Food Safety Schemes Manual lists; shellfish, growing and harvest environment samples, wet storage water and depuration water the NSW Shellfish Industry Manual lists; and non-reticulated process water the Food Safety Schemes Manual lists. Shellfish, environment, wet storage and depuration testing follows the Shellfish Industry Manual frequency; other testing follows the Food Safety Schemes Manual unless a Food Authority notice sets frequency or standards. Maximum penalty 25 penalty units.
