NSW Food Regulation 2025
Part 6: meat food safety scheme (sections 68 to 111, Schedules 4 to 6) – NSW Food Regulation 2025

NSW Food Regulation 2025 108: Meat licensees have analysed at their own cost: abattoir non-reticulated water, processing plant meat products, retail ready-to-eat meat and rendered by-products, at Manual or notice frequency

What does 108 require?

At their own expense, abattoirs test non-reticulated water used in operations; meat processing plants test the meat and meat products the NSW Food Safety Schemes Manual lists; meat retail premises test the ready-to-eat meat products the Manual lists; and rendering plants test their rendered animal by-products. Frequencies follow the Manual unless a Food Authority notice sets frequency or standards. Each limb 25 penalty units.
