NSW Food Regulation 2025 105: Do not operate an abattoir or game meat primary processing plant unless a meat safety inspector holds the position with Food Authority written approval

What does 105 require?

An abattoir or game meat primary processing plant may run only while there is a person in the position of meat safety inspector for it and the Food Authority has approved that appointment in writing. The Authority may revoke an inspector's approval, after a hearing and by written notice to the inspector and the licensee, for incompetence or for failing to report contraventions.
