NSW Food Regulation 2025 106: Meat safety inspectors report every contravention of the regulation at their abattoir or game plant to the Food Authority as soon as practicable

What does 106 require?

The meat safety inspector for an abattoir or game meat primary processing plant must tell the Food Authority about any breach of the regulation relating to that plant as soon as practicable after becoming aware of it. Failing to report a breach the inspector knew or should have known of is a ground to revoke the inspector's approval.

75 Run abattoirs to AS 4696:2023 for red meat and to the species standards for poultry, rabbit, ratite and crocodile, and apply AS 4696 Part 6 clause 17 when such meat is passed only for animal food
