Chapter 9: Secondary power centres and plant (standby generators) – NHS England HTM 06-01 Electrical Services Supply and Distribution (2017 Edition)

NHS England HTM 06-01 Electrical Services Supply and Distribution (2017 Edition) 9.7-9.11: Renewables run only in parallel with the primary supply, with positive isolation

PV and wind systems on the site network may only operate in parallel with the primary supply, with positive isolation between their output and the incoming supply to prevent island operation and back-feed to the DNO, under ENA G.83/1 (and G.75/1, ETR 113 for wind). Wind proposals need a wind resource, space, access, local impact and planning assessment.
