Where several generators serve the same distribution with long-term parallel arrangements, not all need testing at once, but sets on test should run above 70% of full load by adjusting load sharing so the generator leads and the PES supplements. Starting the second set after about an hour of the first, synchronising it before loading, then stopping the first after a further 15 minutes is advantageous. After a test the generator should run on off line for 10 minutes for its cooling system to stabilise.
