Chapter 8: Routine maintenance and operational testing – NFPA 111-2025 Standard on Stored Electrical Energy Emergency and Standby Power Systems

NFPA 111-2025 Standard on Stored Electrical Energy Emergency and Standby Power Systems 8.4.3: 8.4.3 Load testing and ohmic trending

Each load test records output voltage, battery voltage and test duration at start and end for every battery set. Where ohmic measurement monitors lead-acid batteries, results are kept and compared with the baseline, and a deviation outside the acceptable range triggers a full-duration load test, using a load bank sized to the ECE rating in place of the actual load.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 2 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

  • 11.9-11.15 Split battery banks and string monitoring to allow maintenance on line
  • 17.102-17.105 UPS functional tests at least six-monthly and full service tests

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
