NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems
Chapter 5: Emergency power supply: energy sources, converters and accessories – NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems

NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems 5.6.4.1-5.6.4.2: 5.6.4.1 and 5.6.4.2 Starting systems and cranking cycle

Starting is by an electric starter (positive-shift solenoid, cranking without overheating at the maker's speed at the lowest expected ambient) or by another stored-energy system (not pyrotechnic) approved by the AHJ that gives two full cranking periods, automatic recharge from the emergency source and black start. Diesel and spark-ignited engines follow Table 5.6.4.2: cycle cranking of about 15 seconds on, 15 seconds off within a 75 second limit, or continuous cranking within 45 seconds (allowed for diesels and small spark-ignited sets), with two independent crank termination means.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
