NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems 5.2.4: 5.2.4 EPS types

A rotating EPS is a generator driven by a spark-ignited, diesel or gas turbine prime mover; other prime movers meeting the performance requirements need AHJ acceptance. A fuel cell EPS may be PEM, solid oxide, molten carbonate, phosphoric acid or alkaline. At Level 1 the prime mover may drive only its own operating accessories and its generator.
