NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems 4.1: 4.1 EPSS supply by class and type

The EPSS must deliver electrical power of the capacity, reliability and quality the loads need, for the running time set by its class (Table 4.1(a): 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 2, 6 or 48 hours, or Class X as the application requires) and restored within the time set by its type (Table 4.1(b): Type U uninterruptible, Type 10, 60 or 120 seconds, Type M manual, and from this edition Type X, a user or code specified time).
