ISO/IEC 17025:2017 - General Requirements for Testing and Calibration 8.5: Actions to address risks and opportunities (Option A)
The laboratory shall weigh the risks and opportunities connected with its activities so as to be confident that the management system delivers what it is meant to, to strengthen the chances of fulfilling its purpose and objectives, to prevent or lessen unwanted effects and possible failures in its activities, and to improve. It shall plan how to deal with these risks and opportunities, how to build the actions into its management system and put them into effect, and how to judge whether they worked. The actions shall match the possible effect on whether results are valid (options include avoiding a risk, taking it on to pursue an opportunity, removing its source, altering its likelihood or consequences, sharing it, or keeping it by an informed decision). A formal risk management method or a documented risk management process is not required.
This control maps to 22 controls across 18 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
