An organization should work to remove harmful health effects arising from any of its production processes, products or services. It should consider promoting good health, for instance by helping people obtain medicines and vaccines, and by encouraging healthy living: physical activity, a sound diet, catching illness early, knowledge of contraception, and turning away from harmful products and substances, paying particular attention to how children are fed. It should consider building awareness of health risks and of serious illnesses and how to prevent them, such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, heart disease, tuberculosis, cancer and obesity. It should also consider backing lasting, universal access to essential healthcare and to safe water and adequate sanitation, since these prevent disease.
