Resilience is stronger where knowledge is shared widely (where suitable) and put to use, and where people are encouraged to learn from experience and from one another. The organization should show, and build on, the value it places on information, knowledge and learning and its practice of learning from every source it can. It should make sure that knowledge and information: are accessible, understandable and sufficient to support its objectives; are shared effectively so decisions can be made; are recognized as a critical resource; are created, kept and used through established systems and processes; reach every relevant interested party in good time; and feed organizational learning.
