Clause 5: Management responsibility in projects – ISO 10006:2003

ISO 10006:2003 5.2.8: Factual approach to decision making

Information on how the project is progressing and performing should be recorded, in a project log for instance. Evaluations of progress and performance (3.4, 5.3) should be carried out to judge the project's status, and the project organization should analyse that information so as to take effective decisions and update the project management plan. Closure reports from earlier projects should be studied, and what they show used to improve present or future projects.
