Clause 5: Management responsibility in projects – ISO 10006:2003

ISO 10006:2003 5.2.5: Process approach

The processes of the project should be identified and documented. It falls to the originating organization to pass on to the project organization what it has learned from building and running its own processes and those of other projects; the project organization should take this into account and may also require processes that are specific to the project. This is done by identifying the right processes, their inputs, outputs and objectives, and their owners with responsibility and authority; designing them with an eye to processes that will come later in the life cycle; and defining how they relate to and interact with each other. How effective and efficient the processes are may be judged by internal or external review, by benchmarking, or against a maturity scale (ISO 9004:2000, Annex A).
