ISO 10006:2003 5.2.1: Application of quality management principles through the strategic process

Planning how a QMS founded on the quality management principles will be set up, put into operation and maintained is a strategic process, carried out by the project organization, that sets direction and concentrates on the quality of products and processes alike so that the project objectives are met. The processes covered by clauses 6.1, 6.2, 7.2 through 7.8, and clause 8 should follow the general guidance in 5.2.2 through 5.2.9 as well as the specific guidance those clauses give.
