Chapter 3 and Annexes III to X: Conformity assessment, EU declaration of conformity and marking – EU ATEX Directive (Directive 2014/34/EU)

EU ATEX Directive (Directive 2014/34/EU) 14: EU declaration of conformity: Annex X structure, kept updated, translated, a single declaration for all applicable acts

What does 14 require?

The EU declaration of conformity states that the Annex II requirements are met, follows the model structure of Annex X (product model and identification allowing traceability, manufacturer and representative, sole responsibility statement, the Union legislation complied with, the harmonised standards or other specifications, the notified body's name, number, intervention and certificate, additional information, signature, place and date), contains the elements the applicable module requires, is kept continuously up to date and is translated into the language or languages the Member State requires. Where several Union acts require a declaration, one declaration covers them all with their publication references. By drawing it up the manufacturer takes responsibility for compliance.
