EU ATEX Directive (Directive 2014/34/EU) 13.3: Components: same procedures, written attestation of conformity, no CE marking

What does 13.3 require?

Components go through the same conformity assessment procedures as the equipment they serve, but do not carry the CE marking and need no EU declaration of conformity. The manufacturer instead issues a written attestation declaring the component's conformity, stating its characteristics and how it must be incorporated into equipment or protective systems so that the finished product can meet Annex II.
