Before using a BIS licence to export or reexport to Hong Kong any item controlled for NS, MT, NP Column 1 or CB reasons, the exporter must obtain a copy of the Hong Kong import licence valid on the export date or a written Hong Kong government statement that none is required; reexports from Hong Kong of such items under a BIS licence require a Hong Kong export licence or a statement that none is required; the documents are kept under Part 762 and produced on request.
