People known or suspected to be ill with, or to carry, a disease that food could transmit do not enter food handling areas where they could contaminate food, and anyone affected reports the illness or symptoms to management immediately. Exclusion for a set time after symptoms end, or medical clearance before return for some illnesses, may be appropriate.
