Chapter 3 Part 3-3: Safety of consumer goods and product related services – Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2)

Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2) s118-119: ss 118 and 119 Do not supply, offer, make, hold or export banned goods or supply banned services

While an interim ban applies where the supply happens, or a permanent ban is in force, a business must not supply consumer goods of the banned kind, offer them for supply (other than for export), manufacture, possess or control them for supply, or export them without the Commonwealth Minister's written approval (s 118), and must not supply or offer banned product related services (s 119). Loss caused by a defect, dangerous characteristic or foreseeable misuse of banned goods supplied is attributed to the supply.
