Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2) s108: ss 108 and 108A Nominate the compliance method and give information or documents to the regulator on request

Where a safety standard allows alternative ways of complying, a business that has supplied, is supplying or intends to supply the goods or services must, within the period in the regulator's written request, nominate the set of requirements it has complied with or will comply with, and it contravenes the Act if the goods or services do not meet the set it nominated (s 108). On written request it must give the regulator the information or documents requested to determine compliance with a safety standard, within the specified period (s 108A).
