Part 2-4 and Part 2-5: commitments, banking, borrowing, investment, indemnities, insurance, CCE grants, ministerial notices and receipts (sections 18 to 27) – Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule)

Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule) 25D-25E: Ministerial reporting on CCE grants: notify the Finance Minister (or Prime Minister) and the entity of grants approved in the Minister's own electorate or against the entity's recommendation, with details and reasons, for quarterly tabling

What does 25D-25E require?

A Minister who is a member of the House of Representatives and approves a non-formula corporate entity grant relating to matters in their electorate, or any Minister who approves a grant the entity recommended against, must as soon as practicable give a written notice (and any redacted copy) to the Finance Minister (the Prime Minister where the approving Minister is the Finance Minister) and to the entity's accountable authority. The notice contains details of the grant or the correspondence with the recipient, a statement where it was approved against advice, and the reasons. Information may be redacted only where publication would breach the Privacy Act, another law or the grant's terms; the Finance Minister tables the notices quarterly.
