Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule)
Part 2-4 and Part 2-5: commitments, banking, borrowing, investment, indemnities, insurance, CCE grants, ministerial notices and receipts (sections 18 to 27) – Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule)

Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule) 23: Insurance limits for corporate entities: never insure an official against liabilities, other than legal costs, from wilful breach of duty or from misuse of position or information under sections 27 and 28 of the Act

What does 23 require?

A corporate Commonwealth entity may not buy cover for an official against liability (legal costs aside) that flows from deliberately breaching a duty owed in relation to the entity, whether the duty comes from general law, equitable principles or the finance law, or that flows from a breach of section 27 or 28 of the Act on misusing position or information. Any insurance or exemption that purports to do so is void to that extent.
