In Tasmania Part H6 of NCC 2022 is replaced by BCA 2019 Amendment 1 Part 2.6, so energy efficiency of Class 1 and 10 buildings is assessed against the NCC 2019 provisions. TAS H4D9 keeps Housing Provisions Part 10.8 for condensation and directs designers to the Condensation in Buildings Tasmanian Designers' Guide, whose measures exceed the NCC and are strongly recommended. Since NCC 2022 Amendment 1 (effect 1 May 2025), Part H8 applies in Tasmania as set out in the Director's Determination on Part H8 published on the CBOS site. TAS A1G4(7) lets the Director of Building Control issue written interpretation advice, and TAS A5G4(7) to (10) set evidence of suitability for roof plumbing, HVAC, trade waste and on-site wastewater products (a Volume Three matter).
