SA H9P1: besides mains water, the building needs a second water supply connected to at least one of a water closet, a water heater or every cold water laundry outlet. As printed in NCC 2022 Volume Two, it applies to new Class 1 buildings and extensions designated under regulation 3(1) of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure (General) Regulations 2017 as HomeBuilder grant development, with a roof catchment of 50 m2 or more, in a council area (excluding Roxby Downs and Coober Pedy), and for an extension only where it includes a water closet, water heater or laundry cold water outlet. Deemed-to-Satisfy route: run-off from at least 50 m2 of roof collected by a complying drainage system into a rainwater tank of at least 1 kilolitre, plumbed as above (all run-off where the roof is under 50 m2); an overflow device to the relevant authority's requirements and Housing Provisions Part 3.3; mosquito-proof, non-degradable screens on inlet and overflow; and any tank stand complying with Housing Provisions clause 2.2.2.
