Australia Model Code of Practice: Safe Design of Structures 3.4b: 3.4 Evaluate safety in design after construction and feed lessons back

On completion of construction the effectiveness of safety in design should be evaluated to identify the most effective practices and innovations for other projects, possibly in a post-construction workshop with all relevant parties. Subsequent user feedback to improve future designs may come from post occupancy evaluations, defect reports, accident investigation reports, information on modifications, user difficulties and deviations from intended conditions of use.
