Australia Model Code of Practice: Excavation Work 3.5b: 3.5 Control vibration and water effects on nearby buildings

Buildings in and around the excavation should not be harmed by vibration or concussion from the work. Special precautions may be needed near hospitals and other buildings with equipment that is sensitive to vibration and shock. The excavation should also not cause flooding of, or water entry into, a neighbouring building.
