Providers who are registered doctors must meet the clause 1.20 standards; the insurer chooses the provider but tells the applicant they may choose the examiner's gender where possible. The insurer pays for the appointment (not a no-show without good reason), the reports and reasonable travel and incidental costs agreed in advance. Providers are asked to report within ten business days of an appointment, or twenty business days where no attendance is needed; if they miss these dates the applicant is told and periodically updated.
