AS/NZS 3010:2017 Electrical Installations Generating Sets 3.2-access: 3.2 Location: barriers against unauthorised access, access space and exits

Permanently connected sets must be located per Clause 2.2 and protected from entry or interference by unauthorised people with fences, screens, partitions, walls or similar, without impeding authorised access for maintenance, testing and inspection. Adequate space must be left around the set where people pass so equipment can be safely operated and adjusted. In a room or enclosure, at least one exit is needed, and two well-separated exits where the set exceeds 25 kVA or has a petrol engine; doors must open outward without a key or tool from the set side and be lockable from outside; openings must be at least 1.98 m high and 0.75 m wide.
