Premises on the affected residential premises register kept under the Dangerous Substances Act 2004 (homes affected by loose-fill asbestos insulation) cannot be let: a residential tenancy agreement, assignment, sublease or occupancy agreement entered into on or after 1 July 2020 is void, and the person who paid under it may seek compensation from ACAT.
