ACT Residential Tenancies Act 1997 s37: s 37 No self-help eviction

No one may enter premises held by a tenant or a former tenant still living there to recover possession except under a registrar's warrant, an ACAT order or warrant, or a Supreme Court order or judgment (subject to the abandonment entry power in s 61A). ACAT must order compensation for unlawful entry, and the lessor is liable for an agent acting with its consent.
