Neither the business nor its workers may do work involving asbestos or asbestos-containing material, apart from the listed exceptions (genuine research and analysis, sampling, removal and disposal, licensed or compliant removal and maintenance of in-situ material, and the other circumstances in regulation 419), and must eliminate airborne asbestos exposure for everyone at the workplace so far as reasonably practicable, keeping any remaining exposure within the exposure standard.
