Where a Class A asbestos removal licence is granted to a holder that does not yet have current certification of its asbestos OHS management system, the licence carries a condition that the certification be obtained by the date stated in the licence, and in any event within 12 months of the licence taking effect. The holder must meet that deadline; failing to keep certification is a ground for suspension or cancellation (r 496(g)).
