An asbestos removal licence authorises only the removal work named in it, so the holder must not take on removal of a type or class the licence does not specify (for example friable work under a Class B licence). The licence also gives no authority to transport asbestos waste; carriage of that waste is regulated separately by the Environment Protection Authority, so the holder needs the relevant environmental permission or a permitted carrier.
