Every applicant for a job doing an asbestos-related activity must be given, by the employer, information on what the hazard is and the risks of exposure to airborne asbestos fibres. This does not apply to applicants for hand-drilling or cutting asbestos-containing material, or other activities likely to exceed half the exposure standard (r 302(h) and (k)). Penalty: 5 penalty units (natural person) or 25 penalty units (body corporate).
