An employer conducting an asbestos-related activity must ensure asbestos waste goes for disposal as soon as reasonably possible, in a way that prevents airborne fibre release, at a site authorised to accept asbestos waste under the Environment Protection Act 2017 (including its regulations). The Environment Protection Authority regulates transport of the waste. Act compliance: ss 21 and 23.
