When Class A or Class B removal work finishes, the commissioning person must arrange for an independent person to visually inspect and confirm there is no visible asbestos residue from the work in the removal area or immediately around it. No independent inspection is needed if the work consisted only of removing non-friable asbestos-containing material of no more than 10 square metres in total. For Class A work that required air monitoring, the commissioning person must also have monitoring done inside the enclosure to confirm the fibre level is below 0.01 f/ml.
