Whoever commissions Class A removal work must have asbestos paraoccupational air monitoring done before the work starts and throughout it, if the work is indoors, or if it is outdoors and will pose a risk to other people. Every sample must go for analysis as soon as reasonably possible once collected. At domestic premises the licence holder carries this duty (r 291). Monitoring is not required when glove bags are used (r 289). Act compliance: ss 22(1) and 26.
