Where probably contaminated protective clothing is not being contained and disposed of under rr 279 and 280, the licence holder has to have it laundered at a laundry equipped for asbestos-contaminated clothing, and when doing so must ensure it is contained so fibres cannot escape, with the container decontaminated on the outside before leaving the removal area and showing that asbestos is present before the laundry receives it. Penalty for each: 100 penalty units (natural person) or 500 penalty units (body corporate).
