An asbestos removal licence holder doing removal work must use appropriately placed signs and barricades to show the removal area and must keep out everyone except: the workers doing the removal; people doing incidental work who need to be there during it (such as an occupational hygienist); and Victoria Police officers or members or others the law entitles to be there. Penalty: 100 penalty units (natural person) or 500 penalty units (body corporate).
