Where a licence holder is doing removal work and asbestos paraoccupational air monitoring checks for fibre escape from the removal area: if a level above 0.01 f/ml but not above 0.05 f/ml is recorded, the licence holder must immediately investigate the cause and put in controls to prevent anyone being exposed and to stop further release. If a level above 0.05 f/ml is recorded, it must immediately order the work to stop, notify the Authority, and investigate and control as above; the work must stay stopped until monitoring shows a level no higher than 0.01 f/ml.
