An asbestos removal licence holder must, as far as reasonably practicable, conduct removal work so that airborne asbestos fibres are not released and areas next to the removal area are not contaminated. The same outcome is required of limited removal under r 258, and it underpins the enclosure, wetting and air monitoring rules that follow. Act compliance: ss 21, 23 and 24.
