The employer or self-employed individual doing limited asbestos removal work must make sure that equipment used for the removal (other than PPE) that is probably contaminated is either decontaminated before it leaves the removal area, or put into a sealed container whose outside is decontaminated before the container leaves. Penalty: 100 penalty units (natural person) or 500 penalty units (body corporate).
