The employer or self-employed individual doing limited asbestos removal work must, throughout the work, provide decontamination facilities suited to the job for the work area, for tools and equipment and for personal decontamination. They must also ensure no one takes probably contaminated protective clothing or equipment out of the removal area unless it has first been decontaminated or contained. Penalty for each: 100 penalty units (natural person) or 500 penalty units (body corporate).
