Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 r252: r 252 Self-employed person must be trained before limited removal and keep the record

A self-employed individual must not do limited asbestos removal work unless they have been informed, instructed and trained to carry it out without exposing other people to risk from the work, as far as reasonably practicable (Act s 24). They must record that training and hold onto the record the whole time they are engaged in asbestos removal work. Penalty for the record duty: 60 penalty units (natural person) or 300 penalty units (body corporate).
