Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 r247a: r 247(1) Workplace controller must document an emergency demolition procedure

When an emergency (r 240(3)) arises at a workplace where a building, structure, ship or plant contained asbestos just beforehand, the person managing or controlling the workplace must consider the asbestos register and, before any demolition, write down a procedure that will lower, as far as reasonably practicable, the exposure risk to employees and people near the demolition site to below the asbestos exposure standard. This does not apply to domestic premises. Act compliance: ss 21, 23 and 26.
