Before demolition or refurbishment work starts, an employer that manages or controls asbestos, including asbestos-containing material fixed or installed in its plant, must review its employer's asbestos register and revise it if it is inadequate for the planned work (such as where inaccessible areas will become reachable). The employer must give the person who is to do the demolition or refurbishment work a copy of the register, including revisions. Act compliance: s 21.
