An employer must: keep a copy of its asbestos register readily available to its employees; give a copy to the health and safety representative (HSR) of an affected work group, to any asbestos removal licence holder engaged for removal work, and to anyone who asks and is obliged by r 305 to get one; tell anyone engaged to work at its workplace in a way that risks exposure to airborne asbestos fibres about the register and let them see it; and, on request, give access to any other person it engages (including a designer). Penalty: 100 penalty units (natural person) or 500 penalty units (body corporate).
