An employer must keep its asbestos register up to date, recording any change in asbestos condition and any removal, enclosing or sealing done. It must review, and revise where needed, the register when a health and safety representative (HSR) for an affected work group reasonably asks, and in any event at least every 5 years. A pre-demolition or pre-refurbishment review is separately required by r 242. Act compliance: ss 21 and 23.
